Are you qualified and insured?
Yes. Founder Michael qualified in 2014, holding NPTC Level 3 qualifications and Lantra awards, and the whole team keeps their certifications current including a recent forestry first aid refresher course in Tonbridge. We’re fully insured on every job and hold 5 Million public liability insurance, so from a single hedge trim to a full site clearance you can be confident your trees and property are in good hands.
How much does tree surgery cost?
The honest answer is, “It depends”.
It depends on the tree, the access, and the safety considerations involved, which is exactly why we visit every job in person before providing a written quote. Two trees that look similar can have very different costs depending on the root position, overhead cables, how tight the access is, and whether they can be safely climbed. Rather than give you an online guess that turns out to be wrong, we come and look, then give you an accurate fixed price quote. What is BS3998, and why does it matter?
BS3998 is the British Standard for tree work, covering everything from how a crown reduction should be carried out to how a tree should be safely felled. Working to it means every cut we make is based on recognised best practice for the tree’s long-term health, not just what looks tidy short-term. It’s one of the things we check for you as standard, along with insurance and qualifications, before any work begins.
Will you take the waste away?
Yes! We aim to recycle 100% of our Arb waste: chip goes to biomass boilers and garden mulch, hardwood is split and seasoned into logs, and offcuts become quality woodchip for kindling, firelighters, or used as bedding ideal for chicken runs. You’re left with a clear, tidy site, not a pile of brash and woodchip to deal with yourself.
Do you only take on one-off jobs, or can you look after my trees and hedges regularly?
Both. Plenty of our customers have us back annually for hedge trims and conifer control, while others need a single one-off job like a removal or site clearance. Whatever suits you, we’re happy to work either way.
