Tree Felling

Where space and site conditions allow, such as on open lawn, commercial grounds, or in woodland we use straight felling methods. This involves directing the entire tree to land in a controlled, pre-determined landing zone. It is highly efficient but requires absolute precision and rigorous site safety.

Our fully qualified tree surgeons perform a risk assessment of the tree before making a single cut, assessing its natural lean, weight distribution. as well as factoring in environmental conditions such as wind direction and speed.

Operating inline with NPTC Qualfications and to British Standards BS3998, executing precise directional sink cuts (notches) at the base of the trunk, followed by calculated back-cuts.

For total control throughout the drop phase, we use specialist rigging and ground equipment, including heavy-duty felling levers, wedges, and guide ropes, allowing us to ensure your turf, fences, and any nearby structures at protected.

Hundreds of Trees across Kent are protected by Tree Preservation Orders and Conversation Area Status.

Sectional Dismantling

Where space is too restricted to straight fell the tree, sectional dismantling is required.

This is common in suburban gardens across Kent, where trees are often near sheds, fences, property extensions, or overhead utility lines.

This is a highly skilled, high-risk operation where our tree surgeons systematically disassemble the tree piece-by-piece from the top down.

These photos showcase our work in Ightham, Sevenoaks and Gillingham where site access allowed us to make use of specialist heavy machinery—including a Merlo telehandler to mechanically grab, cut, and lower whole limbs with ultimate efficiency.

Often, access is much more restricted and machinery like this can’t be used.

For the more restrictive projects we use advanced manual rigging techniques, operating strictly to NPTC standards, our tree surgeons will climb the tree and install lowering ropes, friction devices, and heavy-duty rigging pulleys, carefully lowering each branch down under precise manual control.
